Manchester City fancied to demolish Burnley

Manchester City host Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday aiming to retain their place at the top of the table.

City head into the weekend on 20 points alongside Chelsea and Liverpool, but with a superior goal difference to their title rivals.

Burnley are now 12th in the standings after picking up seven points from their last three games following a sticky start to the campaign.

Kevin De Bruyne is in line to make just his second appearance of the season for City after recovering from the knee injury he suffered in training during August.

However, Fabian Delph is unlikely to return, while Ilkay Gundogan is another midfield doubt after missing the goalless draw with Liverpool. Danilo is out with an ankle injury.

The Clarets could be without James Tarkowski after the defender was forced to withdraw from the England squad due to a groin injury. Ben Gibson, Robbie Brady and Stephen Ward are all expected to miss the game.

Fans watching Manchester City live streaming services will be hugely confident that Pep Guardiola’s side can rack up a big scoreline against Burnley this weekend.

City have lost just one of their last 19 meetings with the East Lancashire club in all competitions and they beat them twice at the Etihad Stadium last season.

Goals by Sergio Aguero, Nicolas Otamendi and Leroy Sane secured a 3-0 league success back in October and they followed with a 4-1 FA Cup during early January.

Burnley did hold City to a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor in their second league meeting of the campaign, but they are likely to find things difficult this weekend.

City have won all four games at home this season, scoring 13 goals and conceding just two. Burnley have won just once away from home this term, a 2-1 success at Cardiff City at the end of September.

Elsewhere this weekend, second-placed Chelsea face Manchester United at Stamford Bridge in the early game on Saturday.

The Blues have lost just two of their last 16 meetings with United in all competitions and a victory this weekend would give them a 10-point advantage over Jose Mourinho’s side.

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are both on the road, visiting Huddersfield Town and West Ham United respectively.

Arsenal complete the latest round of fixtures on Monday when they welcome Leicester City to the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners have won ten games in a row in all competitions after losing their opening two Premier League games of the season against City and Chelsea.
