Media round-up: Zabaleta linked with summer move to ItalyFormer manager Roberto Mancini wants to take full-back to Inter Milan

The Sun claim that Pablo Zabaleta could leave the club this summer, but the defender has ruled out the possibility of a January move. The Argentinian full back has just 18 months remaining on his contract, and is reportedly a target for former boss Roberto Mancini at Inter Milan. “I am enjoying myself at this great club, and at the end of this season we will have a conversation”, said Zabaleta. “I want to finish the season here and am not thinking of going anywhere in January”.

The same paper also claim that City are monitoring West Ham prodigy Reece Oxford, and have scouted the player on a number of occasions. The Blues are said to be preparing a bid to ward off interest from rivals Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Julian Weigl, reportedly a target for City next summer, has signaled his intention to remain at Borussia Dortmund for the forseeable future. "I'm really not going to leave Borussia. This is not an issue for me," he told Bild. "I can only emphasis that until 2019 I am under contract at BVB and still have some time [left]."

Finally, Barcelona's former sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has claimed that Sergio Aguero was their first choice before they signed Luis Suarez in 2014. "We had several options. Suarez wasn't the first choice - he knows as much. In the winter we tried to sign Aguero, but it didn't work out".
