Opposition view: Hull CityThe inside track on tomorrow's opponents

Ahead of Saturday's clash at The Etihad, Bluemoon spoke to members of the Hull City Independent forum to get the lowdown on the opposition...

What are your expectations for this season?

smallvoice: To avoid relegation.

exiled CITY AFC: Feeling sicker each week right up until the last day of the season as it goes down to the last day like a coin toss.

Are you happy with the manager?

smallvoice: Would like him to stop trying 4/4/2 and just stick with the 3/5/2 that has worked so well for us. But in Bruce we trust.

exiled CITY AFC: No. He's spent money and broke up a good battling team in the process. Not sure about the fitness/injury prone issues either - not all bad luck. Tactics suggest a divided camp.

Who are your key players?

smallvoice: Jelavic.

exiled CITY AFC: IMHO Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore but they ain't played well since they went down the wages pecking order.

Were you happy with the business conducted during the transfer window? Will you do any business this window?

smallvoice: Good and Bad...same as everyone else. Diame, Snodgrass, Robertson and Dawson all look quality signings....shame injury has robbed us off seeing them for any length of time. Jury still out on Hernandez and Ramirez. Ben Arfa was a lazy fooker.

exiled CITY AFC: No, for reasons above.

Are there any rising stars in the squad that we might not have heard of?

smallvoice: Robertson will play at the highest level.

exiled CITY AFC: Would rather name and fame James Chester who does not get the profile he deserves

Your Achilles heel?

smallvoice: Injuries...

exiled CITY AFC: The owner.

If you could have any City player in your team who would you choose?

smallvoice: David Silva is exceptional, and is the best in the Premiership...wouldn't fit into our side though.

exiled CITY AFC: Aguero. He'd be a battler in a relegation fight.

What is your perception of City as a club?

smallvoice: I admire the work that has been done in unison with the local council..and the impressive youth set up....Allam are you reading?

exiled CITY AFC: All that is wrong with modern football and its ownership. Your club single handedly distorts the whole English transfer market so much that we all now follow loss making clubs running on mountains of debt. You stockpile young players and stop English talent, yet can't hate you as much as Man U or Arsenal because your fans seem to be keeping it real. Enjoy going to Eastlands a lot because the fans seem to be genuine.

Likely starting XI for the game, and score prediction?

smallvoice: You'll win...our season starts again after the game against you.

exiled CITY AFC: 4-1
