City and Chelsea are both chasing Ajax's £30m midfielder Christian Eriksen, according to the Daily Mail. Chelsea  have apparently already made a £22million offer for the 19-year-old midfielder, but City are ready to step in with a bid of about £30m.

Micah Richards has expressed his disappointment at being omitted from Fabio Capello's latest England squad. Richards responded on Twitter, saying: "Well well well!!!! Disappointed is an understatement!!". He added "Just want too thank mcfc for being loyal to me throughout my career! Through the ups and downs. ctid!!!!!! I’ll do anything for this club."

QPR striker Jay Bothroyd has tipped City to win the Premier League this season, after QPR's narrow 3-2 defeat to the Blues on Saturday evening. "They are definitely the best side," he said. "They have the best players. But it is more than just ability. They have an abundance of that but names alone don't make a great team. It is the work ethic as well."

Mario Balotelli's girlfriend, Raffaella Fico, has revealed that the real Mario is actually far-flung from his 'untameable image'. "He gets up early and goes to training while I do the housework," the Mirror quoted her as saying. "When he comes home, I cook him a pasta lunch and we go for a swim. In the evening we might go out for dinner or I will cook him lasagne and we will watch a DVD."
