Teams charged after seats thrown during bad tempered game at the Etihad
City have been charged by UEFA following their home Champions League tie against Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday evening.
The game at The Etihad was marred by violent scenes when Zagreb fans ripped out around 150 seats and threw them into the home end following Raheem Sterling's opening goal. Some of the seats were then thrown back, and both teams were charged with the "throwing of objects". Zagreb have also been charged with "acts of damages".
A video of a Zagreb fan making a Nazi salute was shown on social media, whilst allegations that cups filled with urine were also used as missiles by the visiting fans.
UEFA’s control, ethics and disciplinary body will deal with the case when it meets on October 17.
