Sergio Aguero and Vincent Kompany are both available for the visit of Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night, Pep Guardiola confirmed. Apart from long term absentees Claudio Bravo and Benjamin Mendy, City have no other injury concerns.

“Sergio right after game against Liverpool he was sick,” Guardiola said. “He is a little bit better, today was his first training session.

“Vincent is recovering also well after the game with Liverpool. He’s getting better.”

Guardiola's side drew 1-1 at Molineux earlier in the season, and the City manager is expecting another difficult game.

“We realised that last season in Carabao Cup, we saw how complicated they are,” he said.

“Strong, physical, good set pieces, strong on counter attack. When you are tired in the last minutes, they put on new players.

“They defend deep, switch play, control many areas. Good set piece - Neves. That’s why they are doing incredibly well in the Premier League.”

City's last home game against Wolves ended in a 0-0 draw in last season's Carabao Cup, with the Blues winning the subsequent penalty shoot-out 4-1. Overall City have won 47 of the 118 games played against Wolves, with 25 draws and 46 defeats.

Predicted line-up: Ederson, Danilo, Stones, Laporte, Delph, Fernandinho, De Bruyne, B Silva, Sterling, Sane, Aguero
