City appoint new under-23 coach

Paul Harsley replaces Simon Davies as EDS manager

Paul Harsley has replaced Simon Davies as City's EDS manager, the club announced yesterday.

Harsley, who made 500 appearances as player in the leower leagues, had been coaching Barnsley's under-23 side and was briefly caretaker manager of their first team.

Davies, meanwhile, has become Head of Coaching for the Under-13s to U23s.

Academy Director Jason Wilcox said: “We are delighted to welcome Paul to the role of EDS manager.

“He is a forward-thinking coach who has had an extensive playing career and comes to us with an excellent reputation of working with young players.

“He is a great addition to our coaching staff and he is inheriting a talented group of players.”
