Since the Premier League’s start in 1992, more than 200 players have scored hat-tricks, with Haaland being a notable example this year.
On the 27th of August 2022, Haaland scored four goals against Crystal Palace. Four days later, he scored six against Nottingham Forest. Those were the only six goals scored that day, as Nottingham Forest lost with nil points. Then, on the 2nd of October 2022, Haaland and Phil Foden scored six goals combined against Manchester United, leaving the score 6-3.
It's clear that Haaland has shown a lot of potential as a player and that he's proven himself to be one of the best. However, there's another player who deserves some praise as well.
Harry Kane
Harry Kane was born in England on the 28th of July 1993 and has been playing for Tottenham since 2010. Kane was the original player Manchester City wanted as their new striker last year, but Tottenham did not budge with the £150 million demand. Kane still wanted to go, but Manchester City didn't increase their offer.
Despite all this, Kane has proven himself to be a brilliant player. He's scored the second-most amount of goals, which is 12–only six less than Haaland. His half-strike against Brighton was his eighth in his nine league games this season and his 191st in the Premier League, overtaking Andy Cole's 187 and Sergio Agüero's 184.
According to football experts, Kane's 12 goals this season still need to hit the previous campaigns' heights. Tottenham has had a recent reputation of starting slowly before building momentum in November–just in time for the gruelling festive period.
