City to face RB Leipzig in Champions League Round of 16

Txiki Begiristain says "expectations are high" after Blues top Group G

City will face RB Leipzig in the Champions League Round of 16, following Monday's draw in Nyon.

The away leg will be played in Germany on Wednesday 22nd February, with the return game at The Etihad on Tuesday 14th March.

The Blues qualified after winning group G, whilst Leipzig finished as runners-up in the group containing Real Madrid.

Director of Football Txiki Begiristain said: "Expectations are always high. Ourselves, we are demanding a lot about ourselves. So we know we have to try.

"We have been now in a final, in another semi-final, we want to be there.

"But, again, it has to be step by step. But we are happy with the team, as of course with Pep and his staff.

"They are doing very well. The squad is doing well. Let’s see what happens now."
