Aymeric Laporte is the only absentee as City travel to the London Stadium for their opening fixture of the 2022/23 season. The Blues missed out on left-back target Marc Cucurella, who this week joined Chelsea in a deal worth £62m, and Pep Guardiola confirmed that no new deals are imminent.

"Nothing special. We are the same," he said.at Friday's press conference.

"Josh is there. Joao is there. Nathan is there. We will see. We have two weeks until the end of the month and we will see.

"There are a lot of players around the world and a lot of them can suit perfectly this team and the way we are.

"The transfer market is often difficult. Selling is harder than buying but sometimes it is not possible. We have an academy and we will see."

City drew their last game at the London Stadium 2-2, with goals from Jack Grealish and Vladimir Coufal (og). Overall City have won 59 of the 116 games played against the Hammers, with 19 draws and 38 defeats.
