Vincent Kompany misses out after suffering yet another injury setback in the EFL Cup meeting between the two sides on Wednesday evening. Initial fears that it was a reoccurence of the calf injury that saw him miss six months of action have been allayed, but it is unclear when he will be available for selection again. Sergio Aguero returns having missed the last three games through suspension, although Nolito begins a three match ban for the red card he received against Bournemouth.
City's last away league game at Swansea ended in a 1-1 draw with Kelechi Ihenacho grabbing the goal for City that ultimately secured Champions League qualification. Overall City have won 12 of the 17 games played against Swansea, with 2 draws and 3 defeats.
