Brazilian midfielder scoops award for 2015/16 after impressive campaign
Fernandinho has been voted as the Bluemoon Player of the Season for the 2015/16 campaign. The Brazilian midfielder made 50 appearances in total, scoring six goals, including opening the scoring against Liverpool in the Capital One Cup final.
It was ultimately a disappointing season for the Blues, but Fernandinho was one of the few consistent performers and is expected to be an integral part of Pep Guardiola's new side. The ex-Shakhtar Donetsk player polled 43% of the vote, and was named as player of the month on three separate occasions (October, November and February).
Kevin De Bruyne finished second in his debut season, with 25% of the vote, followed by Joe Hart with 16%.
