Cole Palmer signs new five-year dealContract extension sees talented Wythenshawe youngster remain at City until 2026

Cole Palmer has signed a new five-year contract, which will see him stay at The Etihad until 2026. The promising youngster, who made his first team debut against Burnley in the Carabao Cup last season, was one of the standout players as the EDS lifted the Premier League 2 title for the first time.

“It is a very proud moment. It is a dream come true and I think my family are thrilled too,” Cole told CityTV.

“Obviously when I used to go to the park with them to play football when I was little, we used to always think of moments like this, so we are very happy.

“When I first came over to the first team in June last year, it was a bit overwhelming, but I just came over with no pressure and just to play.

“I am still here so I think I have done alright!

“I have progressed pretty well because you are training with the best players every day, so you are only going to get better.

“The first-team players speak to you a lot. They give you bits of advice and tips, so it helps a lot.

“There is a lot more to come. Hopefully I will just get my chance this year and I will take it if I get it.”
