Jason Denayer signs new contract

Defender commits his future to the Blues

Jason Denayer is the latest academy graduate to pen a new deal at the club. The young Belgian defender has signed a five year contract that will see him remain at City until 2020.

Denayer excelled on loan at Celtic last season, and has been promoted into the first team squad by Manuel Pellegrini where he will battle with Vincent Kompany, Eliaquim Mangala and Martin Demichelis for a starting place.

He made his international debut in October 2014, and was recently selected for the crucial European Championship qualifier against Wales, ahead of more illustrious colleagues.

Denayer has flown out to Australia to join the squad for their pre-season tour.
