City manager Manuel Pellegrini is fighting to save his City career, after a poor run of form has seen the Blues win just six of the 17 games played in 2015. A 4-2 defeat against neighbours United in the 169th Manchester derby intensified the pressure on the Chilean boss, although Pellegrini has refused to speculate on his future until the end of the season.
"I'll continue working. We have to play six more games to try to finish as high as we can and, for me, that's the only thing that's important.", said Pellegrini immediately after the game.
Skipper Vincent Kompany and Wilfried Bony are expected to miss out through injury, whilst there are doubts over the fitness of James Milner and Stevan Jovetic.
City's last home game against West Ham ended in a 2-0 victory, with Samir Nasri and Vincent Kompany scoring the gaols that clinched the 2014 Premier League title. Overall City have won 47 of the 99 games played against West Ham, with 16 draws and 36 defeats.
