Sergio Aguero is expected to be out for up to six weeks, after damaging knee ligaments against Everton at the weekend, whilst Yaya Toure serves the second game of a three match suspension. However, the Blues were given a boost as David Silva, Vincent Kompany, Stevan Jovetic and Fernandinho all trained on Tuesday and have travelled to Rome.
"All of them could be ready. There is some doubt about one of them but we will see tomorrow", said manager Manuel Pellegrini.
Pellegrini conceded that City had underperfomed in the Champins League so far this season, but remains confident that the Blues can progress to the knockout stages.
"Maybe we made a lot of different mistakes in the other games, especially against the Russian team, but we have a chance.
"As we demonstrated against Bayern Munich (in a 3-2 win last time out), we will fight to qualify. Tomorrow we will try to do it. I am sure we are going to do it if we play a very good game."
