Kompany a major doubt for Munich game

Defender struggling with a calf injury

Vincent Kompany is a major doubt for City's Champions League clash against Bayern Munich on November 25th, after suffering a calf injury in the home defeat against CSKA Moscow.

According to national coach Marc Wilmots, the Belgian defender will be absent for up to 12 days.

"I received a call from Vincent earlier", revealed Wilmots.

"He is out for Manchester City for 10 to 12 days, so is unavailable for Sunday."

Kompany looks certain to miss the game aginst Swansea City on November 22nd, with Eliaquim Mangala likely to deputise once again, but the Blues will be sweating on his fitness for the game against Munich three days later.
