Midfielder Fernando and striker Stevan Jovetic have both been ruled out through injury. Fernando injured his groin against Stoke City, whilst Jovetic tweaked his hamstring whilst on international duty with Montenegro. Manager Manuel Pellegrini admitted losing the pair was a blow ahead of tough fixtures against Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Chelsea:

"[Fernando] has a problem and he could be out for two weeks - we will see but it is a blow. Stevan won't play against Arsenal but I am hoping he will be OK next week."

Eliaquim Mangala and Frank Lampared are both available, however, and Pellegrini confirmed the Blues had no further injury worries.

"The rest of the players are fine. Vincent played 90 minutes for his national squad and he was normal during the week with us so he doesn't have any problems."

City's last away league game against Arsenal ended in a 1-1 draw, with David Silva scoring for the Blues. Overall City have won just 36 of the 154 games played against Arsenal, with 37 draws and 81 defeats.
