Pellegrini Eyes Best of British

City looking at domestic talent next summer

Manuel Pellegrini has ordered City's scouts to bring him the best of British following a recent transfer summit in Abu Dhabi.

The City chief has been given the full backing of Sheikh Mansour and chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak to ramp-up the process of competing for the best home-based players.

Plenty of blues could argue there is not a vast pool to choose from but Pellegrini already has his eye on filling the homegrown quota with superior quality ahead of next summer.

Director of Footballer Txiki Begiristain is currently working one two such assignments and sources have stated the wheeler-dealer hopes to have at least one of them "boxed-off" before the end of February.
