Alvaro Negredo continued his impressive pre-season form, scoring with an instinctive backheeled flick for Spain in their 2-0 friendly win against Ecudaor on Wednesday.

City team mate David Silva also started for Spain, whilst Jesus Navas was a second half substitute.

Elsewhere Edin Dzeko bagged a brace as Bosnia were defeated 4-3 by the USA, despite having led 2-0 at half-time. Joe Hart and James Milner were involved in England's 3-2 friendly win over Scotland, whilst Yaya Toure missed Ivory Coast's defeat to Mexico with a back injury.
