Pep Guardiola is expected to rotate his side after their midweek exertions against Borussia Monchengladbach, with the likes of John Stones, Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez expected to return to the starting line-up. Nathan Ake remains absent, but City have no new injuries to contend with.

West Ham come to The Etihad in fine form, with David Moyes' side sitting fourth in the Premier League and Guardiola is under no illusions about the threat they pose.

“It will be a really tough game tomorrow, really tight. They are a good team", said Guardiola.

"After I don't know how many games we played, they are in a Champions League position. That is not a good run, that’s many months and they are there.

"The rhythm they play is better now than other seasons.

"Antonio is always a headache for his movements - he is dangerous.

"David Moyes, I admire these kinds of people. Like Roy Hodgson - they have long careers. I would love these kinds of careers.

"He always takes care of me. My first game in England was against Sunderland. He was there and was so kind. He gave me advice on how to handle the Premier League."

City won their last home game against West Ham 2-0, with Rodri and Kevin De Bruynescoring for the Blues. Overall City have won 57 of the 112 games played against the Hammers, with 18 draws and 37 defeats.
