Guardiola believes German international is "close" to return
Manchester City have been given an injury boost after manager Pep Guardiola revealed that Leroy Sane is close to a return to training.
The German international suffered knee ligament damager in the Community Shield victory over Liverpool, and has missed the last five months as a result.
Sane had been linked with a move to Bayern Munich during the summer, but his return will give the Blues a boost as they continue to fight on four fronts.
Guardiola said: 'I think he is close. I spoke with him two days ago and he said to me he is training alone with the ball, he is doing incredibly well.
'His knee looks really good so I don't think it is going to take too much time to come back to train with us. I think in the next few weeks he can come back.'
