Cup holders handed home tie following Monday night's draw
City will face Port Vale at home in the third round of the FA Cup, following the draw at The Etihad on Monday evening. The game will take place at 3.01pm on Saturday , 4th January 2019 and will not be televised. All third round ties will be delayed by one minute to encourage fans to "take a minute" to think about looking after their mental health.
The Valiants qualified for the third round after beating Mansfield 4-2 on penalties, and have been rewarded with a trip to Manchester to face the cup holders. The two sides have met once before in the FA Cup, when City ran out 2-1 winners at Vale Park in 1991.
Other notable ties in the draw include a Merseyside derby, whilst Manchester United travel to Molineux to face Wolves in a repeat of last season's quarter-final clash.
