Community Shield date confirmed

City and Liverpool will meet at Wembley on Sunday, 4th August

The FA have confirmed that the 2019 Community Shield clash between City and Liverpool will take place on Sunday, 4th August. The game will be played at Wembley Stadium with a 3pm kick off.

City earned their place in the season curtain-raiser by virtue of winning both the Premier League and the FA Cup last season, as part of an unprecedented domestic treble. Liverpool were invited to participate as league runners-up.

The Blues will be looking to retain the title they won in 2018, courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Chelsea.
