Sergio Aguero and Benjamin Mendy could travel with the squad to Wembley, but Fabian Delph, Claudio Bravo and Oleksandr Zinchenko miss out through injury. City are still fighting on three fronts and whilst the Premier League and Champions League are the priority, manager Pep Guardiola said that his side are committed to trying to win the FA Cup for the first time since 2011.
"This, I’m sure, will be a fantastic occasion. Brighton are a side committed to playing attractive football and I’m really looking forward to facing them at this beautiful stadium.
"Of course, it’s our third visit to Wembley this season. We’ve won our first two The FA Community Shield and the EFL Cup final so let’s hope we can make it three.
"The FA Cup is a trophy we want to win. It’s the most prestigious domestic knockout competition in world football and every manager and player wants to win it.
"I’ve seen a focus in my players’ eyes all week. They are hungry for more success, which is great to see, and I have no doubt they will give everything to make sure we return to Wembley in May for the Final.
"No team has ever won all four trophies before, but we want to try. I cannot guarantee more trophies before the end of the season, but what I can promise is these players will give their all.
"You have to go back to 2011 for our last victory in the competition, so there’s a real desire among the squad and staff to win this one"
City's last game against the Seagulls ended in a 2-0 victory, with Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling netting for the Blues. Overall City have won 11 of the 20 games played against Brighton, with 5 draws and 4 defeats.
