City to face FC Basel in Champions League Round of 16

Blues given favourable draw after winning Group F

City will face FC Basel in the Champions League Round of 16, following the draw on Monday morning in Nyon.

Pep Guardiola's side convincingly won Group F with 15 points, and have been rewarded with what looks like, on paper at least, a favourable draw. Basel finished as runners-up to Manchester United in Group A.

City have never met the Swiss side before, but were immediately installed as the bookmakers' favourites to win the competition.

The actual dates are yet to be confirmed, but games will be played on 13/14 February or 20/21 February with the return matches played on 6/7 March or 13/14 March.
