England international nets four times in six games to win award at a canter
Raheem Sterling has been named as the Bluemoon Player of the Month for November, following a hugely impressive run of the form from the 22 year-old winger.
Sterling netted four times in the six games played, including three crucial late winners in the games against Feyenoord, Huddersfield, and Southampton.
The England international received a comprehensive 92% of the vote, way ahead of any of his teammates. Kevin De Bruyne was second, followed by Nicolas Otamendi.
Manager Pep Guardiola hailed Sterling after his 96th minute winner against Southampton saw the Blues retain their eight point lead at the top of the table, ahead of rivals United.
“We were clear when Arsenal wanted him we said, ‘No, that’s not going to happen’,” he revealed.
“He’s still young and we hope to make him happy so that he can stay for longer. All the credit to him. All the managers want to help their players because if they play bad we’ll be sacked.
“All the credit is Raheem’s. Of course I believe in him. I didn’t discover Raheem, the player he is. The quality is his talent. He did it at Liverpool.
“He played amazing and that’s why City paid a lot of money for him.”
