Young winger expected to be sidelined for up to four months
Oscar Bobb has suffered a fractured leg in training, which will keep the Norwegian international out for between three and four months.
It's a cruel blow for the young winger, who had been the standout star of City's pre-season and was tipped to have a huge impact this campaign.
Bobb has flown to Barcelona and is expected to undergo surgery today.
Manager Pep Guardiola wished the youngster a quick recovery at today's press conference:
“It was in the training session and unfortunately he had a big impact and is injured,” the manager said.
“He will have surgery and hopefully he will be well and we welcome him back as soon as possible in three, four months.
“We are so sad for him, but not because he was making an incredible pre-season, because that doesn’t matter, when [the] injury is a long time it is a problem and we’re looking forward to seeing him again as soon as possible.
“A good recovery as quick as possible and that’s all.”
