City to face Chelsea on opening weekend of 2024/25 season

Blues face tough start to their title defence at Stamford Bridge

City have been handed a trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on the opening weekend of the 2024/25 Premier League season.

The reigning champions will then face newly promoted Ipswich Town at The Etihad, followed by another trip to London to play West Ham United.

The first Manchester derby will be played at The Etihad on 14th December, with the return trip to Old Trafford scheduled for 5th April.

February looks a daunting prospect, with games against Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool and Spurs, although the Blues appear to have been handed a relatively comfortable run-in as they compete for their seventh title in eight years.
