City to face West Ham United in 2022/23 season opener

Blues start title defence with difficult trip to the London Stadium

City will start their defence of the Premier League trophy with a trip to the London Stadium to face West Ham United. The game will kick off at 4.30pm on Sunday 7th August, and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

The Blues' first home game of the season is against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday 14th August, followed by an away game against Newcastle United.

The first Manchester derby will take place at The Etihad Stadium on October 1st, with the return fixture at Old Trafford scheduled for 14th January 2023.

The season will be temporarily brought to a halt after the home game against Brentford on 12 November due to the World Cup in Qatar, and will resume again with a trip to Leeds on Boxing Day.
