Vincent Kompany has been ruled out for up to six weeks following the injury sustained at Selhurst Park, Pep Guardiola confirmed at today's press conference. City's manager also said that Sergio Aguero and Pablo Zabaleta are a doubt for the early clash at Turf Moor.

“Dr Cugat confirmed what the doctors here said,” Guardiola said. “It is a ligament problem. He will be four to six weeks out."

“Sergio finish the game not injured but he has a problem in his foot,” Guardiola said. “Today he has training at 4 o’clock and we will know exactly his condition and the condition of the other players.

“We played the last game not far away and we have tomorrow a game at 12.30. So I am going to wait to see their condition, Pablo Zabaleta as well.”

City's last away game at Turf Moor ended in a 1-0 defeat, with George Boyd scoring the winner for the opposition. Overall City have won 40 of the 94 games played against Burnley, with 24 draws and 30 defeats.
