Bacary Sagna will miss the next three weeks after sustaining a thigh injury whilst playing for France. However, Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Vincent Kompany could all return to the squad for tomorrow's visit of Everton.

“All of the injured players are much, much, much better”, said Guardiola at Friday's press conference.

“Some will play tomorrow, some will not. They all trained good in the last few days. I don’t know if they’ll play for 90 minutes. We’ll have to think about it this afternoon.

“I never prioritize games. The next one is always the most important game. I’ll see how the international players are - some recover quickly, some need more time.”

City's last home league game against Everton ended in a 0-0 draw, although the Blues won the subsequent League Cup semi final 3-1 just a fortnight later. Overall City have won 68 of the 180 games played against Everton, with 45 draws and 67 defeats.
