City confirm Nolito signingSpanish forward joins from Celta Vigo on four-year deal

City have confirmed the signing of Nolito from Celta Vigo, after triggering his release fee of £13.8m. The Spaniard, who can play anywhere across the front three, becomes Pep Guardiola's second signing, following Ilkay Gundogan to The Etihad.

The 29 year old started each of Spain's four games at Euro 2016, and scored in the 3-0 win over Turkey. Barcelona boss Luis Enrique was keen to reunite with the player he managed at Celta Vigo, but City fought off the Catalan giants to secure his signature.

Nolito scored 39 goals in 100 appearance for Celta, following a move from Benfica in 2013. He netted 12 times last season, as Celta secured qualification for next season's Europa League.

City are now expected to turn their attentions to Everton's John Stones as Guardiola shapes his squad ahead of pre-season training.
