Media round-up: Pellegrini dismisses links with Chile jobJorge Sampaoli left post yesterday but Pellegrini plans to remain in Europe

Manuel Pellegrini has dismissed rumours linking him with the Chile national job, after Jorge Sampaoli left the post yesterday. Pellegrini is expected to leave The Etihad this summer, with Pep Guardiola widely rumoured to replace him, but the Chilean wishes to remain in club management. "I hope to remain with competitive teams in Europe, I am not thinking about returning to Chile at least for the next three or four years", said Pellegrini.

Yaya Toure's agent has said that the player will "listen to every offer" this summer, and has voiced concerns that Toure will not be part of Pep Guardiola's revolution at City. Dimitri Seluk said "I don't know what Guardiola's plans are, but - after what happened at Barcelona - of course it is a worry that when he comes Yaya will be out."

One player not looking to leave City is Toure's international team mate Wilfried Bony. The Ivorian has stuggled for form this season, but told the BBC ""I'm happy at the club, all this speculation is not true. I have a contract so I'm happy and I think I'm at one of the top clubs in the United Kingdom".

Finally, The Daily Star claim that City are the favourites to land Ross Barkley this summer after bookmaker Betway reported a flurry of bets on the midfielder swapping Merseyside for Manchester. The England international is seen as a long term replacement for Yaya Toure.
