City are once again without five first team players for the Crystal Palace, as Fernandinho, Eliaquim Mangala, Wilfried Bony, Vincent Kompany and Samir Nasri remain on the sidelines.

“The injuries are exactly the same as the last game, we are without Fernandinho, Mangala, Bony, Vincent, Nasri, Patrick Roberts,” Manuel Pellegrini said.

“Probably one or two of the players will be fit next week.”

Nigerian youngster Kelechi Iheanacho, who excelled in the Capital One Cup tie between the sides in October, is hoping to be involved and received encouraging words from Pellegrini.

“Kelechi is in the squad list – we’ll see tomorrow the starting XI. He’s a young player who is working every day with the team. When young players have the option to play games they have to take their chances and every time Kelechi has done that and played very well.

“It’s important for him to work every day with important players. I especially think he will be an important player.”

City's last home league game against Palace ended in a 3-0 victory, with David Silva (2) and Yaya Toure getting the goals. Overall City have won 26 of the 53 games played against Palace, with 12 draws and 15 defeats.

Prediction: City 3 Palace 1
