Nasri facing three months on sidelinesFrench midfielder confirms injury on social media

Samir Nasri is facing up to three months on the sidelines after revealing an unspecified injury on his Instagram page. The Frenchman posted a picture of himself looking forlorn on crutches, with the words "What doesn't kill you make you stronger. I will be back better than ever see you in 3 months".

Nasri has endured a frustrating start to the season, making just eight appearances and scoring one goal in a campaign blighted by injury so far. The midfielder joined City in a £24m deal from Arsenal in 2011, and has won two league titles and a League Cup winner's medal in his time in Manchester.

However, the arrivals of Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne have seen him slip down the pecking order, and a summer departure seems to be a distinct possibility. Nasri himself has admitted that he would consider a move to America to play in the MLS when he leaves City.
