City submit Premier League released list

Richards and Lampard amongst the players to leave the club

Micah Richards and Frank Lampard are the highest profile names to leave City this summer after being left off the Blues' retained list, submitted to the Premier League yesterday.

Lampard, who scored 8 goals in 38 appearances for the club last season, will finally join up with MLS side New York City, whilst Richards is being heavily linked with a move to Newcastle United.

Adam Drury, John Guidetti, Greg Leigh and Dominic Oduro are the other players to be released, whilst Richard Wright has been offered a new contract with City keen to retain his services in order to help fulfill the homegrown quota.
