City once again given tough Champions League groupBlues drawn against Bayern, CSKA and Roma

Manchester City have been handed a difficult group in this season's Champions League, after being drawn with Bayern Munich, CSKA Moscow and AS Roma.

The draw, which took place in Monaco on Thursday evening, had a sense of deja vu with the Blues facing Munich and Moscow for the second season in succession. Rudi Garcia's impressive Roma side complete the daunting quartet.

Txiki Begiristain, City's Director of Football, said: "It's a very tough group, they are all very tough. I think this is the toughest group, all the clubs try to play good football, Roma have done very well."

Manchester City v Roma: 30 September

CSKA Moscow v Manchester City: 21 October

Manchester City v CSKA Moscow: 5 November

Manchester City v Bayern Munich: 25 November
