Raheem Sterling has been voted as the Bluemoon Player of the Month for August 2016. The England international, who was much maligned by the press for his performances at Euro 2016, has been rejuvenated under new manager Pep Guardiola and has started the season in impressive style.

The 21 year-old has flourished in a new role on the right wing, and has four assists to his name already. He also scored a brace in the 3-1 victory against West Ham United, his first goals of the season.

Sterling polled a comprehensive 68.5% of the vote, with David Silva second and new signing John Stones in third, following his summer switch from Everton.
