City face tough Champions League groupBlues drawn with Barcelona, Borussia Monchengladbach and Celtic in Group C

City will face Barcelona and Borussia Monchengladbach in the group stages of the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League following Thursday's draw in Monaco. The teams were joined in Group C by Celtic in what looks, on paper, a difficult draw for the Blues.

Pep Guardiola's side qualified from their play-off tie comfortably, defeating Steaua Bucharest 6-0 on aggregate. Guardiola will be looking to emulate, or even improve on, last season's campaign whch saw the Blues reach the semi-finals of the competition for the first time in their history.

Group A: PSG, Arsenal, Basel, Ludogorets Razgrad.

Group B: Benfica, Napoli, Dynamo Kiev, Besiktas.

Group C: Barcelona, Manchester City, Borussia Monchengladbach, Celtic.

Group D: Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, PSV Eindhoven, FC Rostov.

Group E: CSKA Moscow, Bayer Leverkusen, Tottenham Hotspur, Monaco.

Group F: Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Sporting Lisbon, Legia Warsaw.

Group G: Leicester City, Porto, Club Brugge, FC Copenhagen.

Group H: Juventus, Sevilla, Lyon, Dinamo Zagreb.
