Jack Byrne
Position: Midfielder
Date of birth: 24/04/1996
Irish schoolboy international, who played for St Kevin’s Boys in Dublin, attracted the interest of several clubs including Liverpool and in particular Tottenham Hotspur, where their former manager Harry Redknapp was so impressed with him, he invited him to train with the first team. Jack however chose City and was a regular for their under 18 side during the 2012/13 season as well as representing the Republic of Ireland at international level.
Signed a new three year contract in July 2015 before going out on loan to Dutch side Cambuur and then joined Blackburns Rovers on loan for the start of the 2016-17 season, however he was recalled from that spell in January 2017, due to lack of playing time.
